Dan Roman is an accomplished first-generation Cuban-American editor based in Los Angeles with over 14 years of experience in feature documentary, scripted narrative, and branded/commercial post-production.

His editorial work has garnered multiple CLIOs and Webbys as well as official selections in Slamdance, SFFILM, MountainFilm, BANFF, and Morelía – winning the Grand Prize for Short Film at BANFF for WOOD HOOD, the Golden Gate Award at the 65th SFFILM Festival for Half–Day, and receiving the Honorable Mention for feature documentary at Slamdance in 2024 for PETRO.

His first feature documentary FOR LOVE & COUNTRY (2022) is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and you can find IMPOSSIBLE TOWN (2023) and PETRO (2023) on the festival circuit this year.

He has also created commercials and branded films for clients such as Amazon Music, Apple, PayPal, San Diego Zoo, and Vizio. He recently became an affiliate member of ACE (the American Cinema Editors society) and is available for union work through IATSE #700.

But mostly, he’s a decent hang in the edit suite.
